aiOrion runs its own events in every game that is online: a Weekly Open and a Monthly Championship, at a time you can plan around. You enter from inside the app. The entry pays for the online game, and winning earns a reward.
Each series repeats on its own day. The rule is written in the series' own time zone; the next date is shown in yours.

How events work
Calm rules for a competitive evening.
Four entry levels
Every event shows its entry level by name and its entry in Game Coins.
Challenge
10 GC entry, rated
Contest
50 GC entry, rated
Championship
200 GC entry, rated, for qualified players: a title, a rating in the top band, or an invitation
Friendly
1 GC entry, returned to everyone who finishes; unrated
Ratings and titles
Every variant of every game keeps its own Elo rating, moved only by rated games: from Challenge up. Friendly games are unrated, for learning and for company.
Each variant has four titles, earned by results over a run of rated games, each at the level it asks: Club Player, Candidate, Master and Grandmaster. A title is yours for good: it is never lost, and it can never be bought.
Hold Master in three variants, across two families of games, and you are Grandmaster of aiOrion: the one title that spans every game.
Entry and reward
Your entry pays for the online game, and winning earns a reward in Game Coins. aiOrion keeps 10% of a paid event's entries to pay for running it. An event that never starts returns every entry.
Game Coins are game points for the online tables. They have no value outside the games and are never paid out in cash.
Your calendar, your time zone
Add the aiOrion calendar to your calendar app and every upcoming event appears at its time in your own zone. Nothing on this page or in the calendar names a player.
