1. The licence to play
Every aiOrion app is distributed through the App Store and licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. In plain words: you may install and play the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own use; you may not copy it, resell it, take it apart or pass it off as your own. Where these terms add to Apple’s agreement, both apply; where they conflict, Apple’s agreement governs the licence of the app itself.
2. What is ours
The apps, their code, artwork, animations, sounds, texts, instruction guides, screen designs and the design of our original games — WordFront, This Means War and Obiettivi, including their rules as we have written them and their names — are the property of aiOrion. © 2026 aiOrion. All rights reserved.
The traditional games in the catalogue — Briscola, Scopa, Chess, Go and the rest — belong to everyone: nobody owns their rules, and we claim nothing over them. What we claim is our own expression of them: the guides, the presentation, the teaching games, the artwork and the software.
Some of the artwork and every sound effect in the apps were produced with the help of generative tools and then selected, edited and arranged by us; the works of third parties that ship inside an app — a dictionary, a neural network — are listed in that app under Settings → About → Acknowledgements & Licenses, each with its licence.
3. Trademarks
aiOrion, Slow Gaming and Game Coins are trademarks of aiOrion, sole trader, Italy. Apple, the App Store, Game Center, iCloud and Apple Music are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other names appearing in the apps or on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify what they name.
4. What is yours
The nickname and avatar you choose, the templates and variants you build, the AI players you configure and the prompt text you write for them are yours and stay on your device or in your own iCloud. We ask only that what other players can see — a display name in an online match, a message in a shared space — is not unlawful, abusive or impersonating someone else. We may hide or rename what breaks that rule.
5. Game Coins
Game Coins are in-game points. You acquire them to play online: the entry to an online match or tournament pays for the online game, and the players who finish at the top receive Game Coins as a reward for winning. That is all they are for. They are not a currency and are not meant to become one: they have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed, exchanged or cashed out for money or for anything outside the games, cannot be sold, and are not a deposit, an investment or an e-money product. Nobody should buy Game Coins expecting anything back but play.
Online play and Game Coins need a Game Center player, and coins are credited to that player. Coin packs are bought through the App Store, at the App Store’s prices, so Apple’s purchase and refund rules apply to the purchase; the coins themselves are recorded on our server, whose ledger is the only authoritative record of your balance. If a purchase is refunded or reversed by Apple, or a balance turns out to be wrong because of an error or an abuse, we correct the ledger accordingly.
Entering an online match or tournament reserves the entry stated in its template; the entry is collected when the game starts and returned if it never does. Once every player has made a move, leaving a match loses it: the other players win and are rewarded as for any win, the leaver’s entry is not returned, and at a team table the leaver’s whole team loses. Leaving before that calls the table off and returns every entry. A player who stays away longer than the table’s reconnection window is treated as having left. Leaving a tournament game loses that game; the tournament carries on and no entry is refunded. Rewards are paid only from the entries actually collected, after the share that pays for running the online game, to the results the server has validated. Coins do not move between players: no app of ours, GCWallet included, offers a transfer, a gift or an exchange of Game Coins.
6. Fair play online
Online play is for people: no bots, no automation, no AI assistance, no second account to move a rating or dodge a forfeit, no exploitation of a bug. Where we find any of that we may void the results, keep the forfeited entries, remove the rewards and restrict or close the account. A closed account keeps no claim to its coins.
7. Availability and change
Local play never depends on us: an aiOrion game works on your device with no account and no connection. Online features — matches, tournaments, ratings, the daily challenge, coin purchases — depend on Apple’s services and on our server, which we may pause for maintenance or change as the games evolve. We will not remove coins you have bought because a feature changed. If we ever have to close the online service, we will say so in advance in the apps and on this site.
8. No warranty beyond the law
The apps are provided as they are. We work to make them correct, calm and reliable, and we fix what we get wrong, but we cannot promise they will be free of every error or always available. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live, and nothing excludes a liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.
9. Law
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there.
10. Privacy and changes
How we handle your data is in the privacy policy. If we change these terms we will update the date at the top and, for a significant change, say so in the app.
